Europhysiology 2022 – the in-person meeting is back!

For a far too long time the Covid Pandemic has made large in-person-meetings nearly impossible. Many of us recall that the IUPS Congress 2022, for the first time in its long history, had to be held as a completely virtual meeting. But now, in-person meetings get momentum again. That is good news since physiology congresses always have been an important platform not only for science but also to meet colleagues, to develop research projects and to network with experts in the field.

The recent and very well organized Europhysiology Congress in Copenhagen was not only a truly pan-European scientific highlight but also a good opportunity to meet friends again and to enjoy the atmosphere of a vibrant city with a lot of history.

According to the local organizers, Europhysiology attracted more than 1200 registered participants, many of them early career scientists who enjoyed excellent plenaries, symposia and vibrant poster discussions.

This is a good omen for the physiology congresses in 2023 and beyond which are part of the “Year of Physiology”!
